BIMI-TEE DOWNSIDE
The down side of the Bimi-Tee detachability
is its lightweight. When running, the top will withstand any water speed
or weather condition but, you cannot stand on the top. Unlike many conventional
T Tops the Bimi-Tee cover frame is not heavy enough to support a mans
weight. The Bimi-Tee utilizes
a an elastic system to secure the cover and although the Bimi-Tee was thoroughly
tested to speeds of 68 mph on the water, when towing at highway speeds
you must unzip and remove the cover, ( it removes in seconds ). Removing
the cover eliminates any stress on the top or the console that is produced
by highway towing. If you want the heft and feel of a heavy weight T Top
with a cover secured by lacing that you can tow on the highway, you will
have to buy a more expensive conventional T top that mounts to the deck. |
